"la Souffrière" - the volcano
The volcano is at Souffrière la Basse Terre in the jungle. He is the origin of the whole island and is the highest mountain here in Guadeloupe. Only in 10 days a month you can see the summit, on all other days, the volcano is covered by clouds.
The Souffrière is active, but not dangerous active and therefore can be run without problems up to the top. The way up there is hard and reached the summit wars really cold, 15 degrees and I have been wearing the first time in 5 months, long pants, a sweater and a jacket.
