Gian-Luca Cavigelli wins Big Air World Cup in Seoul - LG FIS Big Air 스노 보드 월드컵 서울

The last 3 evenings I have spent on the occasion of Gwanghwamun Square Big Air events. Chapeau to the organizers! The view at the Sejong statue to the ramp was really impressive. The highlight of the three days of events, the Swiss Gian-Luca Cavigelli won today and was able to celebrate his first World Cup success. While he was the day before the Hyundai Super Match are any of his tricks, he showed today, Sunday 3 near-perfect jumps.

Swollen Eyes Toothache

The last time ..

A little update on my part for the other readers in Switzerland. 'm Still in the dark concerning the conclusion, but today I have received at least three professors from all the signatures, that my work is enough in their quality as such for the conclusion. No idea if it still is a specific assessment or not. I have so many positive but also negative surprises in the university life experience that I'll believe it when I hold the diploma in my hands. In recent weeks I have of "major changes to do" to "you may want to get it published" and "I will appoint your thesis for the award" heard it all. Somehow I have the feeling that the work then probably only read it once in January, is for precisely what this current topic I could go pretty nauseous. Tant pis, J'en ai marre. The next days I will einbisschen work on the layout of the thesis, write applications and plan my well-deserved vacation. For in a week it goes for a few days in the sun. Okay, so far as the stock messages:)

I probably still good 1-2 months in Korea and I do currently hold a joke out of it, which places / Places I still want to (visit time) before it goes out into the "homeland".

How To Build Snowblower

Fear of towers

The direct democracy of Switzerland leads sometimes abstruse excesses. Right of referendum and initiative in honor, but when it comes back to voting as this weekend with the "Minaret" initiative, I would be better if certain people the right of initiative would denied.
.
the non-Swiss is explained briefly that the minaret initiative has the goal of the construction of minarets by Vefassungsverbot (!) To stop. A constitution, religious freedom stipulated in a state which has a long liberal tradition, and it executed just introduced thanks to the Multikulturalitaet only there, in which he now stands.
.
It is the initiators and supporters of the initiative is not primarily a question of preventing the construction of minarets, but clearly the immigration policies as such. I am all for a tough stance this respect. Those who do not adapt can or wants to have to leave the country at the slightest offense, no ifs and buts. A minaret ban but hardly leads to a better integration, does not prevent forced marriages, the Auslaenderkriminalitiaet diminish one iota, and also decried the SVP specter of Sharia law are not addressed Inititaive. If I have the first high bills, and the initiative will actually adopted (almost certainly with a deep Röschtigraben ...), one will perceive the result in Innenverhaeltnis of Muslim citizens, and outside of Muslim countries as an insult and an affront.
.
A particularly bitter taste for me again the propaganda of Erzkonservationen church representatives from the EPP and EDU. I shall run cold down my spine when I hear these statements Parteiexponten. Why there are almost always strictly faithful to Erzkkonservativen and show the least tolerance ...

Is Tight Chesty Cough Symptom Of Flu

Thesis and work burnout ....

31'722 words, to nearly 90 pages of text and an additional 30 pages appendix , sources, 2 languages summary, Cases and graphics.
.
I just yesterday for the copy center at the University of issued and made my research work with mixed feelings. On one hand I'm relieved my desk to free at last from the great mountains of paper and must not concern myself more with Zitierrichtlinien and source directories, on the other hand I've really no idea whether the work meets the requirements of Profs. How many of you have mitgekriegt, the support of the coach was almost non-existent. You foutierten the most part, my feedback requests, no substantive grade ratings. bon bref, I will stop in 2 weeks my oral presentation, and have to reckon with the quasi-meltdown that I can not think even my supervisor in the back. I know I'm generally not the Verkoeperung the optimists, but in this case, I'm really some reasons for my rather negative attitude. What can I score likely is the professional appearance of work, timeliness of the topic and the general literature. Problems, there will be probably because of large overlaps with existing literature, given the large amount of work and the rather formal-legal analysis. Looking back, I would have to
my concerns in the context of the subject election should make clear and simple micht not with the few encouraging words to be fobbed of Profs. Tantpis ...
.
Currently, I have the blues, not only because of all the DA stress, but also because I must leave now slowly but surely from Korea. Depending on how it runs with the DA-president and any subsequent corrections, I'm probably late December or January, back, home ' in good old Ireland. The job search I would soon undertake and hope that despite the growing place for Arbeitslosigkeitkeit still a place one returnee who is motivated to gain new work experience. In what area it attracts me is hard to say. I'm very open, although the financial sector right now interprets not exactly sure each candidate the red carpet. Diplomacy is my dream, although I do still would have to overcome several obstacles, ranging from the mid because poor language skills (French and good German ...), to the recognition of my accounts in Switzerland and Korea. At first it may well go back to private industry, and I then clearly international companies in Focus have. I could well imagine an entry-level position as a PR / GL assistant to assume only are these not just sown much, and often occupied by women. A location in Korea, I could imagine though certainly, but I am realist enough to see that my knowledge of Korean language are hardly sufficient for a chaebol to come. I regularly receive inquiries from people who have participated in a Anstellun interest in Korea. Maybe this other once more in a journal. Foreign trained specialists (and here the emphasis is strongly on FACH) are sought in Korea well, but the most part are to bring people to the executive experience, then there are Korean language skills not required. SK (especially telecom / energy / logistics) I know personally that you are building for some time at the Global HR team and we recruited abroad, with the focus mainly on America (Kyopos) and China. Similarly, at Samsung, has just recruited two of my Chinese friends.
.
Okay, was again a, querbeet "one entry, but still a sign of life in Switzerland. Ps I have in the past few days as much correction read that you please excuse me, the many spelling mistakes on the blog, I just do not have to chase the muse for it here or any error.
In this sense,

macht Werbung für Blocher Wanderferien in Nordkorea Korea im Schweizer Parlament

Every morning I take a short online Press review: NZZ, Tages Anzeiger, SF-DRS, mirror ... of course, increasingly multi-functional with the TV stream, the information in the background about the sports results and the parallel computer graphics in the other windows. I scan again the Tagi and I think only dream about, but it is in black and white in the newspaper, Christoph Blocher, the most notorious, most hated and loved at the same time Alt-Bundesrate/Vizepraesident the SVP / Industry Mogul was to WALK IN NORTH KOREA. For 14 days.

In Tagi he lets his trip to interview . Apparently he is with a group of German Swiss traveled to North Korea, where it has the advantages of the Stalinist tourism destination enjoyed. He would not be Christoph Blocher, when his experience would not reveal even in their own online television format. 34 minutes Foreign Policy Analysis a la Blocher.

Relations with Korea are not exactly a top priority in Swiss politics, and so it is not surprising that employment in the Official Bulletin of the Swiss Parliament not to see many entries to Korea. A few questions for the purpose of war material exports and state visits by Korean government officials dominate the list.
. A funny anecdote
but offers a matter of national Schluer to the Federal Council, in the indignant about it, the right wing politicians that the Swiss National Day Message 2005 not on 1 celebrated August to late September.
.
. Federal Councillor, thank you for this answer, there is nevertheless a considerable distance in time between 1 August and 30 September - so now my supplementary question: Are you one case, according to a French diplomat, once the " 14 juillet "on Easter Monday, or an American diplomat, the" would have 4th of July celebration at St. Stephen's, or is it only to Swiss ambassadors so that the national holidays for the leisure calendar of officials judge to have? "
.
Funnily enough, I was stationed in 2005 at the Embassy in Seoul. In fact at the time was a Swiss about it complained to the embassy staff and formally requested an opinion of the former ambassador. This was his apparently not good enough and it seems as he had given the great urgency of this Staatsaphaere the role models of all patriots Ulrich Schluer sued his suffering, which is dedicated course immediately this delicate matter.

should Perhaps some would SVP voters once in the official bulletin smart with what trivial matters and motions their elected members of Parliament so the time to waste.

Vollstaendigkeitshalber nor the replica of the Secretary of State (introduction in German and then the transition into French ... what with Calmy-Rey is always the case when they are about someone / something enervated)

"Mr Schlüer, I know the agenda . the French or other outside agencies not But is your question: "Pourquoi notre représentation à Séoul at-elle choisi finalmente le 30 septembre pour organizer la réception de la fête national?" Je dois vous dire que la délégation suisse Représentant de la Neutral Nations Supervisory Commission Panmunjom à une réception Organise traditionnelle ment le 1er. août Notre représentation à Séoul invite donc à une date ultérieure, not to make competing with the delegation at Panmunjom. In July and August - it is the explanation I was given - it is very hot in Seoul and this is when most people take their holidays. It is therefore more appropriate to organize the National Day reception at a later date when everyone is back from vacation. This, Mr Schlüer, I think I answered your question "

Swiss Festival 2009 - Beziehungen Schweiz Koreanische

Well, gomdorinuri I anticipated, but it's rare enough that Switzerland is praised by the Germans ...

the entry I've actually already planned longer, but from 'diploma work final run-technical reasons ", the whole thing has been delayed.
.
From October 9 to 13 will take place, the Swiss Festival. An event organized by the Swiss Embassy and Swiss Tourism. are social events traditional music performances, jazz concerts, with Swiss and Korean musicians and art exhibitions. Rounding out the whole thing with cheese and chocolate tasting. On Saturday also was the economy minister Leuthard a guest comes, not often that a Member the Federal Council to Korea lost. The last time it was the Ausseministerin Michelin Calmy-Rey, which staged in the border area, as one is accustomed to it.
.
The close relationship that I care about the Swiss Embassy, has indeed lost due to the usual job rotations einbisschen the diplomats, but there are still a few people here from my internship 5 years ago. Well worth a visit in any case.
.
location: Raemian Gallery in Unni-dong. (Anguk-Station/Insadong) All information here. (PDF)
.
The Swiss community is small in Korea. A few years ago there were about 180 people (including dual citizens) in Korea. Most of them are expats from Swiss companies. The Swiss-Korean Business Council meets monthly to exchange ideas and special lectures. Who wants to establish new contacts, here is certainly the right place. Those who are interested in internships should look at the list of companies (see SKBC website). The major Swiss companies are locally present, but in different sizes. Roche and Novartis to include local leaders, including UBS (JV with Hana Bank) is represented and industrial companies such as ABB and Oerlikon.
.
The Switzerland-Korea relations are very good. The success of Swiss Tourism is but also a burden for the business location Switzerland. Mann, Switzerland is often only as a holiday destination (Interlaken, Virgin etc) was too little and as an attractive Locality for Asian companies. I see potential here, especially in the high technology sector and the long term probably in the service sector. The large Korean companies will also select a location in Europe mainly Germany, France or England, not least because the clusters there ansa vinegars (Autozulieferung / cosmetics / Finance).
.
Gueterausstausch regard, the EFTA-Korea FTA probably played a more intensive exchange. In terms of R & D (especially nanotechnology) ETHZ / EPFL and KAIST have signed a cooperation agreement, which also includes the exchange of students / professors. And finally, I am also an indirect result of the EFTA-Korea FTA ... Not to be forgotten is also the security Contribution that makes Switzerland to the North Korea conflict. It does not only play a facilitating role, it turned into (perhaps most Swiss not know) and officers from the inner boundary in Koranic Panmunjeom in the Neutral Nations Supervisory Commission (NNSC) . It was one of the most impressive experiences in Korea, I had been when I was able to visit the Swiss troops there.
. How it looks
begzueglich the Korean community in Switzerland, I'm not sure. Korean schools are in Zurich, St. Gallen and Geneva, as far as I know. Interlaken has some Korean accommodations (Minbak etc) and restaurants. The Federation of Korean Associations organized in Switzerland regularly occasions for overseas Koreans. Dongari is an association that looks after the interests of Korean adoptees in Switzerland. How do I know Koreans, there are probably more Korean churches, but I do not known by name.
.
bref bon, the CH-ROK relations are very good, but just in economic terms is a lot of potential.

Internationalisierung Koreanische Kingdom's - UPDATE

UPDATE

Short update. The current Times Higher Ranking is out . In addition to the Shanhghai ranking, something like the Bible for international ranking Unis. SNU up three places. from 50 to 47 Yonsei is the first time in the top 200th KAIST as also had the front runners. SNU in Social Sciences in the 30s.
Consider, for example, but now the evaluation item "International Students" at: 33 of 100 possible points. International Staff "22/100. A big catch-up, one has as yet .... but it is (see below)
in other respects: ETH Zurich 20th / EPFL 42 / Geneva 72 / ZH 92
critical words of Gitte .
------------------------------------------------ -----------------------------------
.
a tiresome subject for all International Students from the supposedly prestigious Universitiaet Seoul, is the internationalization of the institution. This article in the Korea Times to call attention to some points.
.
. In many ways, makes
in Korea an almost pathological quest for internationalization / globalization noticeable. Every festival, every event that prides itself on, is provided with the Anhaengels Global / International. So-called Global Internships, the students under nose rubbed, who, however, turn out eventually most as "Regional" Internships, since communication is often conducted only in Korean, or 90% of the chosen Praktikateilnemer come from China. Global means for me not to have a Westerner in his ranks, which can then present to the press can be beautiful as an allegory to the proklamierenten achieved high degree of "globalization.
.
's just like it in the university landscape in regards to internationalization. In international rankings, the University of SNU runs concerning the internationalization often with also-rans. It tries to heures foreign professors, most of all Nobel prize winner or any other honor- and dignitaries. It really hit a sometimes unconventional ways and is the youngest law professor in the country, flew in from the country of all (Korean) Hochschullandtraeume the United States. The aim should be to offer more courses in English. Foreign students are being lured with royal grants, and exchange students should emphasize cross-cultural image of the university. All laudable efforts of a university that has set a target to get a foothold in the global elite universities.
.
on campus is a "Global Campus" and the achievement of the "Global Best 20" was proclaimed (currently depending on the area and ranking editor about 50th place) in the rankings. Global MBAs are awarded, the faculty and students to more than 90% of Koreans there, very global indeed. Indeed, even the Office of the University Internatiional can apparently afford to count people in its ranks who refuse partout English to talk to the students. The administration did not create the course registration program in English to offer. Can we not expect that exchange students and even full-time students speak Korean and are therefore struggling with the same bureaucracy have to? No one should not, especially not when a "Global University" will be. A global university views its students as customer service, which is an above average service have to offer, in all respects: faculty, infrastructure and administration. This respect I can not complain much about my department, the professors are absolute specialists in their field with excellent academic and practical experience, which may interact with those in Zurich and St. Gallen good measure. The classes are often led multidisciplinary nature and frontal teaching is the exception. Pruefungsleistungen the other hand can not keep up the comparison with Switzerland and Germany. The compulsory attendance has on the marks awarded such a large influence, that it is possible for most professors to get a good grade, even when you fail the exam or the subject has no idea. The whole thing is not just leistungsfoerdernd, but probably corresponds to Korean customs.
.
eineimischen Among the students is also great prejudice against the foreign fellow students. Many times I hear how you are vis-a-vis students from developing countries makes it funny, looking down condescendingly to them. Western students will be accorded more respect compared to most. As regards students, advanced countries will "but more often, according to the complaint that you will be favored in the selection, for Pruefungsleistungen general and in the classroom. Especially when university admission procedures (Admission) I can easily imagine that Admission Officer show you grace bigger compared to Western students. This is partly understandable, when one looks at the global ambitions of the universities, but it is the quality of the student body is hardly relevant. While with the local student only the creme de la creme is recruited, probably in the inclusion of Western students the premise quantity before quality.
.
There are just the big visions (sometimes coupled with a pinch of naivety) that fascinate me about this country. A virtue that you miss in Switzerland more and more. Where visions are, you will have to live always with disappointment, because the challenges are great, if you want to achieve the ambitious goals. I believe that Korean universities will continue to gain international prestige, the achievement of a more international Student Body / Faculty and the drop of prejudice are ways to do so.

Hansol Korean Open 2009 Tennis

Swisskimchi-Sports was wiedermal go. Purpose of processing frustration I have this afternoon a trip to the WTA tennis tournament in Seoul made. The Hansol Korean Open there since 2004 and takes place in autumn every year. This premiere, I was able to follow live, with the highlight of the Aufritt Maria Sharapova, the tournament finally won it. Since then, the tournament director always involved a representative from the top 10 (including Venus Williams 2007), only this year worked out this is not enough. The top seeds Daniela Hantuchova is in the world rankings currently led as number 21. Among other things, also plays Ana-Lena Groenefeld German and Austrian woman Sybille Bammer in the tournament.

highlight of today was the game against Kimiko Date Krumm of Hantuchova (Japan, married to a German). The Japanese woman has for a 3-hour game, the match in three sets 7-6 (3) 4-6 6-4 and won has advanced to the semifinals. The 39 (years old) was the comeback last year after 12 years (!) Without a tournament ... Comebacks in the women's tennis right now so in vogue (Hingis failed attempt, and soon Clyster Henin) and all of them seem ohn great effort again in the Elite .... to be able to gain a foothold as much to the power density of the Women's Tennis ...

It was nice to see that the event was held at the Korean audience appeal. Since 2004, the event has yet developed a lot and now the program seems to have improved, and in terms of sponsorship could win new Samsung. Let's hope that the number of participants next year with some top shots can still be a bit more attractive.

For Spontaneous: Both semifinals will be held on Saturday, followed by the finals on Sunday. Tickets were now 15,000 KRW for top courses, for the finals it should cost a little more. Location: Olympic Park Station Exit 3rd

Racquel Darrian Mental Ward

koi doin?

my thesis I'm writing right now on "New spread of investment protectionism - Are the legal boundaries in international economic Appropriate law to limit the discretion of national security review Authorities - A transatlantic comparative approach ". Last month, an article of the German professor Karl Sauvant (Colombia University) in the Korea Times, summarizes the problem well. (See below)

I'm fighting right now with less work than with the cultural distance between my Prof and me. After 2 years I've yet Korea is given, to understand many cultural characteristics of Prof-student relationship, but right now I'm really desperate on. My thesis is in final stage, in my opinion, both in terms of content and on structure and formalities (references, etc.). In various Gesparechen I have the Professor tried to make clear that I would like to lead a discussion with him, the READ is based on the work. He has to work not go through completely, but read comment wengistens the apparent surrounded by arcades and me. Professors are no doubt very oilpainting, he "commutes" sometimes more often between Switzerland (WTO in Geneva) and Korea, but it really is too much to ask that he reads my work, at least in parts? He commented on my emails with "I am very impressed of your progress ...", he raised at the meetings but always under the impression that he has read the work before. Otherwise I can statements such as: "Did you arrange the references? Did consult the XY literature / article ... not explain. " Man is probably not so clear that a student is ahead of schedule, and delivers even 2 months before deadline a readable paper. My additional semester allowed me more time to put in the thesis than others, hence the temporal lobe, which I pointed him several times, but only in response to the exporters received tourist highlights Switzerland. I hate it when seemingly unfounded smear me honey to the mouth. Franchement ca fait chier .. j'travaille comme un dinque, et il s'en fout apparement ....

Unlike bachelor theses, master theses will be written independently, and the "contribution" should be much bigger, that is, no real literature summaries, but a clear academic progress to be seen. Such progress is highlighted in a commercial legal work is not exactly easy, as many lawyers often only summarize the law and add a few phrases and that's it. In Zurich and St. Gallen I have scoured dozens of theses supervised from well known Right and Oec. Professors, in which I had to ask me at the end .. and what's your point? To reduce this risk in my work, at least, I would be so helpful if the Professor could make a few comments on my work. Top of that, at my Department Thesis Defense in a proper form of a 30 minute presentation before the three-strong Professorenkomittees (1 JD and oec. / 1 D of business / 1 D of oec.) Must take place, probably in late November. to combine a business law work in the form of a PPT is not exactly the most entertaining work, as are typical business Theses or statistical evaluations grateful. Most professors in the Department are graduates of Ivy League universities (Columbia, Harvard, Chigaco etc) and also shaped accordingly. Presentation must be crisp, clear progress on the academic debate be seen

etc., to make things that developments over beat right now to my subject. UNCTAD, OECD, all organizations that hold on to what bring out new studies. 150-page giant packages that summarize the problems and propose solutions to present ... The main overlaps are therefore vorpgrogrammiert, which in turn reduces the "Academic contribution" of my work. Wrong topic chosen (no subject target of Profs)? : Yes and no. Relationship with Prof. built wrong ... yes and no. Sure, I have not taken part in every department "outing" and drinking soju, I've spent my free time, preferably outside the University Buildings, which I differ from many local students ...

Okay whining does not help, but sometimes doing quite well. En tout cas, c'est la vie ... on verra.

Beware of FDI Protectionism
By Karl P. Sauvant NEW YORK - During their most recent meetings, the G8 took a strong stance against protectionist measures in the area of foreign direct investment (FDI), echoing calls for a moratorium in seeking measures issued earlier by the G20. Both were right to do Sun According to the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, only 6 percent of all the changes in national FDI regulations around the world between 1992-2002 were in the direction of making the investment climate less welcoming. That figure doubled to 12 percent of all regulatory changes in 2003-2004, and almost doubled again, to 21 percent of all FDI regulatory changes, in 2005-2007. In Latin America, for example, some 60 percent of all FDI regulatory changes in 2007 were unfavorable to foreign investors. Overall, countries that had implemented at least one regulatory change that made the investment framework less welcoming in 2006-2007 accounted for some 40 percent of world FDI inflows during that period ― an impressive figure that demonstrates that something very dubious is afoot. And these data refer to formal changes in laws and regulations; no data are available on the extent to which unchanged laws and regulations are implemented in a more restrictive manner, increasing informal barriers to the entry and operations of foreign firms.Of course, not every measure that makes the climate less welcoming for foreign direct investors is protectionist. Basically, there are two situations that should qualify. In the case of inward FDI, protectionism involves new official measures that are used to prevent or discourage investors from coming to or staying in a host country. For outward FDI, protectionism involves measures that require domestic companies to repatriate assets or operations to the home country, or that discourage certain types of new investments abroad. But the definition of FDI protectionism can become more complicated, because measures taken in the interest of legitimate public policy objectives ― for example, protecting national security or increasing FDI's contribution to the host economy ― are not necessarily instances of it, even if they make the foreign-investment climate less hospitable.Nevertheless, even with this caveat, there has been a rise of FDI protectionism that predates the current financial crisis and recession. This suggests that a reevaluation of the costs and benefits of FDI was already underway, led, interestingly enough, by developed countries, which in the past had championed liberalization of entry and operational conditions for foreign investors and their protection under international law.For some countries, like the United States, this reevaluation is grounded in national security concerns (largely undefined) that arose in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. But there also seems to be a bit of a reaction against the ``new kids on the block," namely multinational enterprises from emerging markets, especially when these are state-owned and seek to enter the U.S. market through mergers and acquisitions. Hence the strengthening of the active screening mechanism of the Committee on Foreign Investment in the U.S. In the case of some other developed countries (for example, Canada, France, Germany), national security concerns extend to economic considerations and the protection of ``national champions." In these countries, too, screening mechanisms have been strengthened, and China and Russia, as well as some other emerging markets, are following suit. In some of these cases, legitimate public-policy objectives may well be involved. But the boundary line between such objectives and protectionism can be a very fine one. The financial crisis and recession may dampen the rise of FDI protectionism, as countries seek capital to shore up local firms and increase investment to help them promote economic recovery. But the global downturn may also accentuate protectionism, especially if nationalistic impulses gain the upper hand, perhaps stimulated by fire-sales of domestic assets (as we saw during the Asian financial crisis). The bottom line is that the investment climate for foreign direct investors is becoming less welcoming. While this is certainly not the dominant approach toward FDI, we need to be vigilant that it does become not so. What would be helpful in this respect is an objective FDI Protectionism Observatory that monitors FDI protectionist measures and names and shames countries that adopt them.

Homestay in Korea II - Gastfamilie Moon - Kangnam-Gu Seocho

In continuation to my last post, I would like here to a host family in Korea to draw attention, especially the guests from German speaking countries like aufnimmt.Die 4-person family in five years regularly welcomed guests from all over the world in their apartment in Seocho-Gu. The apartment is located just 5-10 minutes walk from the station "Seoul National University of Education" and "Kangnam Station" and provides space for individuals and couples. The Appartmenkomplex includes, among other things, a fitness center (KRW 80,000 for 3 months or 30,000 / month), favorably usable tennis courts and various affiliated Einfkaufsmoeglichkeiten. The connection to Whereas the public transport is very good, and the center of Seoul's can be reached in 20-30 minutes by subway.

The rooms include a comfortable bed (one-person or small queen-size bed), wardrobe, desk and Internet access, including both a great view from the 16th Stock in the direction of Kangnam Station. The mother of the family is a warm woman, very good German and good English speaking. Depending on the interests will help you once the guests with travel plans, Shopping, and other organizational issues in learning the Korean language. The family has extensive experience with foreign guests and I can say with conviction that Homestay is offered here not primarily from monetary interests.

Where we are then but at the price:) An overnight stay costs 40,000 KRW, 650,000 KRW per month, including a small (Western) Breakfast. Optional dinner is also possible, with a cost of 5,000 - 9,000 KRW amounts.

My experience with Home Stay I've already made in some countries and they were very positive. In 2005 I spent during my internship in Seoul, about 4 months in a Korean family in Kangnam. Nowhere else can you learn in such a short time, the Korean culture and language, as by a stay in a Korean family. It provides a unique opportunity to glimpse into the cultural characteristics of Korean to attract families who might otherwise only hear from guide books or other stories. If I'm in the English online forums or blogs about exaggerating, I am always surprised negatively, propagating stereotypes for what some foreign against Koreans. "All Koreans are racists, dirty, unmannered etc". They are mostly frustrated English teachers who have not done well to overcome the admittedly no small culture shock. No way I would like to argue that there is only hospitable, friendly Koreans in the country, because I myself have already collected several bad experiences, and often more than just a fist in the bag made me re-turns as a Korean with a stupid saying or I was back in front of the feet had to spit. Without Korean friends, confronted with some xenophobic newspaper articles and a language that one is not conversant, can be driven drift through the pent-up frustration in a parallel world in which we soon again doing all Koreans in the same drawer, and you come to the conclusion anyway all the Koreans are nothings.

Homestay is an opportunity to establish new friendships with Koreans and to foster mutual cultural understanding. Homestay families can help to bridge the language barrier, are quite well even when planning a trip to the assistance, and other daily problems that one in foreign countries sometimes life difficult. Homestay is not only suitable for longer stays, but even short trips to Korea can get through a homestay accommodation is special and unique.
